Bookfox is a small team of booksellers and developers in Vancouver. We help charities raise money from books people no longer want, help stores and sales earn more from the books they already sell, pay scouts cash for the finds they turn up, and point readers to the best used book sales nearby.

For charities, community organizations and volunteer groups
Every community has more books than it knows what to do with. Most ways of raising money take an application, a campaign, or staff time that has to come from somewhere. If your organization has somewhere the public can walk in, this one takes a shelf, without sorting, inspecting or selling a single book.
Invite your supporters to bring their books to you. We supply the boxes and the promotional material, collect free once you have ten boxes, and pay you a share of every book that sells, with a statement each month showing what sold and what it earned.
For thrift stores, book sales, library groups and anyone else already selling used books
Books take up more room than they earn, and a first edition looks the same as a worn paperback on a trestle table. Most of the value walks out of a charity shop in the fifty-cent bin because nobody can tell which is which.
Your team scans incoming stock with the app, we buy the valuable ones for cash upfront, and the app tells you which shelf the rest belong on. If you don't sell books yourself, our donation partner program is the simpler place to start.

Earn money scanning books in thrift stores
Love thrifting? Scan used books with the Bookfox app while you browse the shelves. When a book is worth more than its sticker price, buy it and sell it to us for the difference.
Offers come back in seconds and we pay by e-Transfer, so there's no waiting on a marketplace. Drop accepted books off locally at our Surrey, BC office, or mail them in, work whenever it suits you, and borrow a scanner for free while you find your feet (subject to availability).

For book lovers: find used book sales near you
Library sales, charity book sales, estate sales, and secondhand bookstores, all on one free directory and map covering the US and Canada.
Search book sales near you, see what's happening this weekend, and turn up the kind of overflowing church-basement sale that's impossible to find any other way. Organizers can list their sale so local readers actually find it.
