Delete your account and data
This page is for users of the Bookfox Partner app. You can request deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it here, without logging in or reinstalling the app.
How to request deletion
Email [email protected] with the subject line “Delete my Bookfox account”, sent from the email address you use to sign in to the app. That is how we verify the request is really yours.
If you no longer control that email address, tell us in your message and we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity another way.
We confirm and complete deletion requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and profile (email, display name, role, internal IDs).
- Stored sign-in credentials and tokens.
- Diagnostic logs tied to your user ID or your device’s app-generated ID.
- The link between your identity and past scan records. Scan and inventory records themselves are business records about books; they are kept for organizer reporting and accounting but are anonymized so they no longer identify you.
What we may keep, and why
We keep the minimum needed to meet legal obligations: tax and accounting records tied to books we bought or sold, and records needed for fraud prevention or legal defense. These are kept only as long as the law requires and are protected in line with our privacy policy.
Volunteers
If you joined a sale with a volunteer join code, you do not have an account with us. Your session metadata is removed when the sale’s volunteer links are cleaned up. If you want it removed sooner, email us with the sale name and roughly when you volunteered.
